Accommodation certificate

This is an official certificate, drawn up on secure paper, completed and signed by all persons wishing to welcome a foreign national who is coming to France for a period of less than three months in any year on a family or private basis. The person providing the accommodation must present in person and fill out the form at the desk.

Documents required by the host:

  • 2 proofs of residence: Ownership deeds or leasehold agreement, an electricity / Gas / telephone bill or rental payment slip of not more than 3 months.
  • Payslip or ASSEDIC attestation,
  • OMI stamp for 45 Euros, which can be obtained from the Trésorerie, avenue Massabielle.

If the host is French:

  • Current passport or ID card

If the host is a foreign national:

  • Residents card
  • Visitor card for EU members

For those wishing to come to France:

  • Their name (maiden name for married women)
  • Their first names
  • Their data and place of birth
  • Their address
  • Their passport number

Request for French naturalisation

The person must present themselves to the department of social affairs* of the town hall, who then makes a request to the Prefecture** to put together the dossier.

Residents permits/cards (for foreign nationals)

For the first request, go directly to the Prefecture** in person.
For renewals, change of address or department, the person must present themselves to the department of social affairs*.

Travel permit (refugee)

Document that enables one to circulate in countries other than ones country of origin.
Contact the Service Social*, who will make the application at the Prefecture** to complete the dossier.
Documents needed:

  • OMI stamp for 8 Euros, which can be obtained from the Trésorerie, avenue Massabielle.

Circulation document for under-age foreign nationals

Contact the Service des Affaires Sociales*, who will make the application at the Prefecture** to complete the dossier.

Family reunification

A foreign national on French soil, legally resident, applies to allow their family to join them (wife, children).
The application should be made in person in the Préfecture**, to make an appointment to complete the dossier.

European residents

All European nationals from the European Union who wish to renew their identity card must make the request at the town hall of their birthplace.
A foreign national on French soil, legally resident, can apply to allow their family to join them (wife, children).
The application should be made directly at the Prefecture**.

Making your change of address and signing up for the various organisations.

Don't forget to inform the various organisations of your change of address or to register:

  • Insurance
  • Your bank
  • Inland revenue
  • The CAF (Caisse d'Allocation Familiale - organisation that provides child benefit and support for families www.caf.fr).
  • Social security, organisation that strives for equality of access to healthcare. www.ameli.fr

Register yourself on the electoral roll

Go to the Etat Civil - Elections department with your current identity card or passport and a proof of residency from the past 3 months.

Any citizen with French residency status, holder of a residency permit, can vote for the municipal elections (in France and in their country of origin) and for the European elections (either in France or in their country of origin).
