Capital of the northern Vendee bocage, Les Herbiers is located in the North-East of the department of the Vendee (85), which is in the Pays de la Loire region. It is located 60 km south of Nantes, 80 km to the east of Les Sables d'Olonne, and 100 km to the west of Angers. Getting to Les Herbiers: by car, by bus, by train or by plane.

From Paris :
- Fast route: Following the A87 motorway Angers-La Roche-sur-Yon, exit 29
- Toll-free roads: Follow departmental road n°D160 from Angers, heading towards La Roche-sur-Yon
Nantes-Bordeaux axis :
- Fast route: Follow the A83 motorway Nantes-Bordeaux, take the A87 towards Angers-Cholet, exit 29
- Toll-free roads: Follow the RD 137 to the "Les Quatre Chemins de l'Oie", then take the RD 160
